Steve Priest

Steve Priest is retired and living in Warsaw, MO. Warsaw is a Lake of the Ozarks country ideal for sportsmen, campers and retirees. He is active with hobbies which includes writing.

He was born in Sabetha, KS, in January, 1944, and grew up in a small rural farming community in Kansas. As a young person he worked on his parent’s dairy farm. After graduating from High School, Steve attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business in 1967.

Steve’s career has led him down paths in areas of data processing, systems design and various management positions related to information technology. He has been employed by some well known companies such as: Gulf Oil Corporation, Shared Medical Systems, Hallmark Cards, Menorah Medical Center and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. For a period of time he was President of a company called Advanced Automation Industries where he helped form this small company.

During his career, Steve authored many studies, reports, and analysis. Industries represented by his employers include energy, medical/hospital, manufacturing, and insurance. During his working years, he lived in Kansas, Texas, and Florida. His job responsibilities took him to forty-nine of the states.

He is now retired from the corporate life and lives on one of Missouri’s beautiful lakes in Lake of the Ozarks country. Along with his wife, Steve is co-owner of a retail shop specializing in home furnishings and interior decoration located in Warsaw, Mo. He is also the proud father of two sons and five grandchildren.

With the extra time that most retirees have, Steve began writing “2100” in November of 2009. The topics in the book are of great interest to him. He began the book as a personal project, not knowing where it might lead.

During his career, he has written numerous business and technical papers, but he had never considered writing a book. Something kept pressing Steve to continue down that path, outlined the chapters and began gathering information and references that he wanted to include. After several months of initial research into various subjects, it became clear to him that I wanted to write this book.
