Kent Faus

A 20-year Air Force retiree Kent spent the first five years of his career in beautiful Colorado. Wanting to see what the "real" Air Force was like, he then bounced around and moved to six other assignments around the world, plus several temporary duty assignments. His writing career began as a way to deal with the build-up and threat of terrorist actions while stationed in Europe. Kind words by friends encouraged him to continue writing and that has led to completion of six full-length novels and a few short stories.

He finally settled down in the true upstate New York region along the shores of Lake Champlain where he remains 'too' busy as a husband, father, volunteer EMT and all around good guy. Rarely a week goes by when the Faus' are not involved in some kind of volunteer or charity work.

Gunnery Sergeant Robert Christmas, career Marine and hard corps patriot finds himself disgruntled during the holiday season. To bury his disgust he escapes from the hype and commercialization by drinking alone in the only saloon he can find open on Christmas Eve, the Ebenezer Inn. The holiday season is always the most difficult time for Gunny Christmas, not only due to past events, but because of the name he shares with the most celebrated season in the world.

However, this holiday season is different as men and women visit Gunny from his past bringing painful memories to light.

It takes the wise words of a wily old bartender to bring Gunny Christmas’ chaos full circle. He warns the gray haired Marine of his ultimate end if he didn’t change his ways.
