A Very Clever Firefly goes behind that of most children’s books. As an educator I find this book an invaluable resource to teach children character education and family values. Even more it has a treasure chest of lessons that can be used when teaching lessons in multi-culture, diversity and tolerance. Kindness, patience, understanding, teamwork and life skills are all valuable lessons that are taught in Sunday schools. Using this book as a resource to start the lesson would definitely create a definite spark of interest in the children and keep them engaged in the lessons being taught.
The firefly is like the universal father of all insects and creatures in this story. You fall in love with him and all of the insets in this story. It even takes away the fear you have of getting stung by a bee.
With children having to learn that not everyone grows up the same way and sometimes the differences in our appearances hamper how we look, walk or act, this story teaches in a positive manner how using our intelligence, thinking and listening to the answers for the questions we ask is better than anger, hate and being mean. You can hear the sounds of all of the creatures working together at the end of the story sounding like their own rock band. To me it is a like a newly created symphony of beautiful sounds to hear and to behold.

Hey Charlie! Remember when we were kids and had nooooo choice in anything that we wanted to do? Do you remember when you thought there was nothing good that could come out of those decisions made for us like moving to a new home far away from our friends or attending another school where you were the new kid on the block?
Well, welcome to Charlie’s world! Suddenly it seems that his entire life is turned upside down. But instead of finding only the down side of change, Charlie is reminded that there is a silver lining in almost everything if you have faith and simply believe!
Tony has woven an intricate story about a child’s worst fears from a brother attending college to his beloved dad getting a new job into something joyous. His use of vivid descriptions captures the angst of every child as they grow and learn to forge their own paths, even if those decisions can be painful at first.
Tony reminded me that even in our adult lives we must look past the worry and the fear of change and see the greater good and the wonderful treats that very well might be hidden around the corner. A wondrous book for all ages, it is meant to be read time and time again as a family, if only a simple reminder that love and faith conquers all.

Tony Angelo weaves a magical story about the first day at a new school and all the worries and frustrations that go along with that momentous event. I found myself back into that moment of worrying about what the other kids thought and about standing up for what I believed in.
Joseph wanted nothing more than to fit in and be a very good boy, but he learned quickly that he wanted to take a stand and protect his teacher. Unfortunately his teacher thought he was the troublemaker.
And so he worried all day that he would get into trouble with his parents. Instead his mom greeted him reminding him that he was a very good boy indeed and Joseph realized how important it was to be himself and to stand up for what he thought was right.
Tony’s stories seem to remind all of us of the importance of recognizing differences and tolerance and I find myself drawn into the story more and more. Thank you again Tony for a wondrous tale that I will forever love to read to children of all ages. I can only say that your worlds are truly enchanting.
Thank you Tony for reminding me of that silver lining!

- Honey, I'm Home / Home Sweet Home by Tony Angelo

This is a story for the early reader about learning to trust others who are different than themselves. The bear and the bee become unlikely friends as they find each others needs and wants. Their trust wasn’t just given, it was earned. It’s a simple lesson we all must learn.
Children can also be inspired through their own creativity in both art and reading. The illustrations can be easily copied and new stories can be told from their experiences.
Bears love honey and bees make it. How can these two unlikely creatures work together and form an alliance, well author Tony Angelo figured out a way to show that all creatures can get along. Sleeping away the winter and waking up in spring, Lee, the Bear meets Honey the Bee and they become fast friends. This is a tale that teaches the reader that differences can be put aside and friendships created when you look past outer appearances. How can a bear and a bee become friends? Author Tony Angelo’s story Honey in Home is a heartwarming tale that teaches the reader that friendships come when you least expect it. Honey Bee and Lee the Bear take the reader on a wonderful journey into the lives of many of the animals in the forest teaching both children and adults: what else: Who loves Honey and who does not? What other animals eat and what they do not? Friendships, understanding, teamwork, and humor fill this great new story by the master of storytelling, Tony Angelo. For those honey lovers, you might want to make friends with these two great characters and get your own supply the golden sweet treat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------There are many insects, animals and even people that want their own private space to live in. Beavers have dams, woodpeckers want their own trees and seals would like to live in the water undisturbed. But, when poor Terrence the Termite is forced to leave his home that he has lived in for many years, author Tony Angelo presents us with a problem that many people have when their home is sold and they have no control over what will happen to them next, they are in need of a new abode. Terrence goes all over looking for just the right place to live. Just like people many of the animals and creatures do not want a termite as a housemate. Author Tony Angelo once again teaches children and adults alike that just when you think all is lost, someone comes to the rescue. Well written, easy to read and illustrations that help the story come to life, author Tony Angelo has written another five star book.

The Book....
This is my first children's book. It was inspired by my own dog, Rex.
As I got to know him I saw his personality come out and wonder what
he was thinking about his life. How he looked at what brought him to me.About me....
I write my own blog, Plain Talk, which is just that. Write about whatever
comes to mind at the time but make it so that anyone can read it. I work
with Dream Catcher Multi-Media on various projects as well as doing
their website development. Also, I am venturing into photography. I have
a website where my photos are available to the public.http://bubbabrookshire.weebly.com/
