Victoria has been writing all her life and creating enchanting lands of fantasy for children has been an important endeavor and one she has only recently seen to fruition. In developing the realm of M.R. Bear and his adventures, she is able to bring a taste of other countries, their lifestyles and their very different cultures to children all over the world. In telling the tale of friendship with a mischievous best friend, the black Labrador retriever Weatherby, she hopes to highlight just how important leaning on someone can be. For M.R. Bear has an important need – to find his family once again.
Victoria has a long background in penning stories and books that entice and bring forth creatures and beings from all around us. She writes in several genres with other pseudonyms including paranormal, romance and poetry; but creating a safe, creative and learning environment for children will forever remain dear in her heart. She also uses the talents of her voice to bring the children’s stories to life in audio books. You can catch the latest audio, Bearly Mischief, the first in the M.R. She lives somewhere in the lovely state of Virginia with her three dogs who provide her every day with fun filled stories of their own. Victoria hopes to bring her children’s books both in print and audio form to underprivileged and disabled children who might not otherwise have the wonderful opportunity to read and to enjoy the worlds that books can bring. Creating dreams for children is a wondrous gift and one that I have been proud of for years to be a part of. There is a special way of engaging a child in a fantasy world of rich beliefs and simple values that every parent strives to find and share. Bearly Mischief is a simple world where a much loved pup is a significant part of a growing family and yet a moment of frivolity forces him to question not only his behavior but the very love of his family.
Victoria Chenault has spun a fun-filled tale where a stuffed bear and a black Labrador retriever learn that becoming friends is as important as fitting in. What would you do if you felt that you were a very bad boy? Would you rebel? Would you fall into dispair? Weatherby and M.R. Bear learn very quickly that while there are differences in every relationship, theirs is one that will withstand time and a giggling little boy. All the while they will learn that being themselves is exactly all they need to be. Thank you Victoria for reminding me that developing friendships and overcoming differences is what we all wish we could be better at.
