Myra Marsh
I am 76 years old and have lived most of my life in Huntington, Long Island. I am married and have two sons and seven grandchildren ranging in age from eighteen to twenty eight.
My first seven poems were written about my grandchildren many years ago. I called these poems “Through a Grandmother’s Eyes.” Because I enjoyed expressing myself through poetry, I began a series of poems about life as I experience it. Because I think poetry should be shared, I have offered the poems freely and the response has been very positive. People seem to enjoy reading them, and have often found something of themselves in the poems. My friends and family have, over the years, encouraged me to publish them. At seventy six years of age I have finally accomplished it.
I hope that you, my reader, will find “Illumination” an enjoyable experience.
