Ruth Welburn
Ruth Welburn studied at the University of New Brunswick where she obtained her Master of Science degree. Subsequent to that, Ruth taught and worked in university research laboratories in Fredericton, Calgary, Victoria and Melbourne where she studied virology, microbiology and infectious diseases. During that time, she published articles in scientific journals, and presented at symposia, conferences, lab meetings, hospitals, universities, and schools and for public interest groups.
She is also a prolific writer of fiction and magazine articles. She won honorable mention for a magazine article that she submitted to Writer’s Digest 77th Annual Writer’s Competition and two short stories submitted to Writer’s Digest 78th Annual Writer’s Competition.
Currently, she lives in beautiful Sidney-By-the-Sea in British Columbia, Canada and continues to write.
