When a conservative young woman accepts a job as housekeeper at a rambling old ranch house on a west Texas ranch, her greatest concern is whether she can handle the work. An isolated 3000 acre ranch with access to horses sounds intriguing. All Cade wants is freedom from housework so he can work the ranch. To Cynthia, it is an ideal way to save money. Her friend is concerned, but Cynthia assures her that even if the stoic Cade were the romantic type, she has the resolve and willpower to resist him. He seems like a good man. Townsfolk consider him an odd hermit, but they all agree he is trustworthy.
In the beginning, both the ranch and Cade are a pleasant surprise. In time, respect and admiration spawn a much deeper emotion – one that gets out of control in fuzzy stages that blend into each other. Cynthia must accept and deal with the consequences.- Genres: Romance
