Life becomes busy and for the better part of mine, I worked hard and raised my family. In between all of the dramas of a real life I have managed to create a world within my writing that tells a story. A friend once told me that life cannot be fulfilling unless you pursue your passion. I totally agree with that statement. My passion is to create and breathe life into words.
I have recently completed my first fiction novel, The Van Gogh Agenda. It started over 17 years ago but sat dormant for reasons mentioned at the beginning of my biography. Since there was simply too much to tell for merely one book, I have also written a sequel. The title is The Storm Chaser, for which I am going to start the first re-write. Every author admittedly falls in love with their protagonists and I am no exception. Our characters become alive and we find bits and pieces of ourselves in them. I currently am writing a third book in the series entitled, The Five Hundred. This story takes me deeper into my protagonists’ lives as they struggle to save us from homegrown terrorism in America.
I must confess that I have another passion in my life, and that is fly-fishing. I find so much peace in the form and poetry of fly-fishing. The sound of the stream and the whisper of the fly as it glides by are earthshaking for me. I find a lot of inspiration in those quiet times. As I now move forward into publishing my books I find a renewed energy. I am a published author. My passion for storytelling will come full circle.
