My author name is W.J. O"Neil and I am a father to five and a grandfather to 9 (with another on the way), so I guess you could say I'm a family man. I'm happily married to my wife Mary who is also my best friend, my soul-mate, and the co-editor of my "Reeshard and The Great Parish Swamp" series. I try to live a nice quiet life in Statesville, North Carolina and enjoy a bit of family time whenever I can. My main interests are writing, computer time, and watching NASCAR Racing or NFL Football. I also enjoy telling tall tales to the grandchildren or just spending some quiet time with my wife.
I'm also the author of the new " Read, Recognize, and Remember " books, titled " The Adventures of Ernie I Saw." Designed specifically for beginning readers my read, recognize and remember books help give a child the confidence and ability to read on their own in almost no time at all. The Adventures of Ernie I Saw also provide a variety of fun facts throughout every book that helps stimulate a child's interest in reading more to learn more about the world they live in. Currently available are the first two books " I Saw It In The Jungle " & " I Saw It Underwater " in a double book special edition.
The Adventures of Ernie I Saw books have been read and reviewed at an upstate university in New York as well as read to children at a variety of elementary schools in the United States. Reeshard and The Great Parish Swamp (though still new to the market) has already been read and reviewed by readers in the United States as well as Internationally with nothing but excellant reviews to date! I've also written poetic verse and have had it published and I am now working on a few more with the intent on having a collection published in the near future. Though I have my books proof-read multiple times prior to publishing I have come to know a small mistake does not deter an avid reader from a great book and great books are what I strive to provide!
