New Children's Bilingual Book Released posted 3 months ago
With illustrations from Deborah Eve Alastra, the new bilingual book also includes a list of must know words. This is Rosalinda Vargas's first for children in English and Spanish. It's about a child who has too much going on in the day to fall asleep at night. Alastra is from Oregon and Vargas from California. They contacted each other through Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
Deborah Alastra to Illustrate Sometimes I Don't Want to Sleep posted 10 months ago
It's bilingual (Eng/Spanish) and it's going to be released in October. Both of us feel strongly that children who are bilingual should have a variety of bilingual books to choose from. More details on book as I have them!

Blog, blog, then blog more posted over 1 year ago
Blogging to me is like public speaking. To be good at it, a person has to speak, speak, then speak more. I still have butterflies in my stomach before hitting the "post" button and I still sweat, wonder, and hold my breath. The difference is nobody sees me go through the pains! Boy! I wonder if there is an organization that helps with blogging just like Toastmasters helps speakers. Oh, well. Here I go.....

OK. It's hot. It's not writer's block. It's actually too hot to even think. I am almost finished with my Not Only Love Poems ebook. I will hydrate and keep going. I am anxious for everyone to read "Take it Out."
Ok. Horton found me! posted almost 2 years ago
I have begun to market my poetry book. I have asked friends to post my bookstore link on their sites. I have received a good response from Efranin's Corner and Thoughts of a Mommy. They are both blogs by Hispanics. When I finish my second poetry book, Not Only Love Poems, my plans are to publish a paperback which includes both books.

Feeling like a who..... posted almost 2 years ago
Like Horton finds a who. I feel like a who waiting to be found by a reader. Maybe I'll do something about it. :)
Where are the bilingual readers? posted almost 2 years ago
I am thrilled that I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and I am proud to have written my first poetry book with some of the poems in Spanish. Where do I go from here? How will I market this project? If you are reading this and have a suggestion, shoot me an email, please.
Getting Started Is Not Painless posted almost 2 years ago
It is like being born. When you are a new writer, you are naked, nameless and penniless. The good thing is the pain will stop when a publisher clothes you, readers can look you up by name and your art sells.
