At the end of six weeks, clients either continue on with us in some form, or, we provide all press materials and a spreadsheet of media “hits,” books sent, contact information, and contact information of media for follow-up and continued promotion on their own.
• Your book displayed, through Combined Book Exhibit, in your choice of one tradeshow.
• Cost is a one time fee for the six week campaign, ranging from $3,900 to $5,500, depending on geographic areas targeted.

OffTheBookShelf TARGET MEDIA LIST FOR AUTHORS
Getting media lists is easy—there are many companies who sell them—but getting one precisely customized for you and your book to give you the best opportunity for media coverage is key. Utilizing the experience gained over 12 years and 900 book promotion campaigns, Smith Publicity creates the finest media lists in the industry. As a central point of all of our campaigns, every day our publicists research and compile scores of media lists. Now, self-promoting authors or anyone attempting to secure media coverage can get the same lists our nationally-recognized publicists use. Smith Publicity uses an industry-leading media database, which is updated every day. We will provide you with the best, most up-to-date media contacts available, all selected based on the topic and genre of your book from more than 1.4 million media contacts, media outlets, bloggers and analysts. Despite offers you may see boasting thousands and thousands of media contacts, in publicity it’s quality, not quantity that matters.
Here’s how it works:
• You fill out a brief questionnaire.
• One of our experienced publicists reviews your information and conducts careful research to develop appropriate media lists which include radio, TV, magazine, newspaper and Internet producers, editors, freelancers and bloggers.
• You receive a minimum of 500 media contacts, possibly many more, depending on your book, as well as local media contacts in your area.
• We e-mail you the list in both Microsoft Excel and label format.
• Included in your list are name, title phone number, e-mail, fax number, and full mailing address.
• Again, quality is what matters, not quantity.
• Cost: $900. To Order Your Media List, email OffTheBookShelf@smithpublicity.com to submit your media list request. You’ll receive an invoice via e-mail, which can be paid by credit card or check, and then we begin work and get the list to you within five business days!
